CNN seems to really be going after Obama today...
they even gave Edwards who they generally like to ignore, some repeat air time ragging Obama about all his 'present' votes.

lots of anti-Obama stuff today - talking about 'muslim' right now. very negative feel throughout.

wonder who could be behind this. looks like Obama is well ahead of Clinton in SC, but who knows what this latest negative-orama against Obama on CNN could really mean - all those undecideds miraculously change their vote to Hillary and Obama supporters have given up on Barack and are backing Hillary because there's a lot of bad news about Obama!
yah, that's the ticket.

btw, I like Kucinich.
but it's pretty clear to me that CNN is up to it's no goodness again.

1. I haven't been listening to their diatribe today but I don't doubt your
assessment. There's plenty of flamebait on DU today too! Sad.

15. oh?
the woman in the picture is rumoured to be one of Bill's new squeezes, correct?
she from SC??

oooo, I'm pretty sure I heard that bill went to SC with hillary to join him in a day or two...

if he is fooling around on Hillary now, of all times (never a good time, but some times are worse), and gets caught -
yikes.

2. Actually. I think that CNN has been overwhelmingly pro-Obama today.
And I say that as an Obama supporter. They've basically been fact-checking the charges Clinton and Edwards threw at him last night. And, as we know, when an Obama slam gets fact-checked, he comes out in the clear.

There was one story about the back and forth between the candidates that I felt was unfair to him. But I really think they've been giving him a ton of good press.

Coincidence that he just bought a shit-load of advertising off of them? Probably not.

6. There was some Rethug
on the Situation Room who said that at one point you could have thrown a bucket of water on Hillary and watch her melt (Wicked Witch reference). Luckily Donna Brazile, who took offense, was there to refute the sexist comment.

11. ugh, I hope Brazile gave him what-for.
altho I don't think I've ever seen her passionate about anything. she seems to run on that mediocre drony kind of way. Would love to have seen her take off her shoe and hammer away at the asshole that said that. ;)

9. I might have missed some stuff
as I have not been watching constantly.

but what I did see was Obama having to defend himself against the other runners comments.
but he does do a good job of defending himself, must say.

This just had that feeling to me about how suddenly Hillary won NH because of her 'choked up' moment and voila! people responded positively to her in droves leaving all the 15 point lead to Obama polls useless.

17. CNN has always been anti-Clinton and pro-Obama and they were today too.
What CNN were you watching? Just goes to show how some Obama supporters have a bias edge and see things through dark glasses.

7. Keeping the game alive as long as they can
People are sick and tired (as per their reaction to CNN last night) of the sex/race thing -- so they have to do SOMETHING to liven it up.

If Edwards is out, thats all they will have to run with.

14. I think it's all about behind the scenes numbers games.
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 06:41 PM by balantz
Every factor is looked at and translated into numbers, and the game plan is adjusted accordingly. Then the cue cards are assigned to the blathering booboos (news bufoons) to accomplish the desired outcome with public opinion. I'm sure hordes of staticians are paid well to sit in their M$M cubicles and figure all of it out to the nth.

about his reason he voted "present"...for strategic reasons.
