Advertising for the CA primary...
As a registered voter, I've been getting Gawds own horde or pamphlets about the primary; yes on this, no on that, vote for me but not the other, etc. etc.

One of the things I check is 'who sponsered this mailer, and who signed on this?'

So, let's see...
This person says she's a Democrat, and is sponsered by 3 people who also say they're Democrats (city council race).
This person doesn't say what party he's with, and is sponsered by a bunch of people who also don't say... quick google search, and LO! He's a pubbie, and so are his friends...

Hmmm... little pair of mailers on a local proposition... who're the sponsers...
This one has the American Lung Association, the Audoban society, and the Sierra Club...
The competing one has... nobody I ever heard of. Hmmm, time to google again... ah, not one of these organizations existed 6 months ago. That's interesting.

OK, my point (not counting the one on my head)...
Pubbies are hiding who they are here in SoCal... like they're afraid that if you knew what party they were from, you'd vote against them. Democrats are not.

Also, big name groups aren't who aren't afraid to put thier real names down for a yea or nay get more respect from me than some fly by night organization that's really just a way to hide where the money is coming from.

1. interesting observation.
should see if a local news paper... as a "public service" would allow a bulletin board for posting who is sponsoring what material - including the google search finds. Doubt they are likely to do it - but sadly most folks aren't going to do the quick search that you did - to discern this little pattern. wonder what public vehicles (for the next go round of electins - since your primary is tomorrow and thus this line of thought is a bit too late) to get that information out so that folks who aren't quite as internet savvy could have access to it.

2. Californians rebel!
You should vote NO on everything! Anarchy! Let that governor of yours solve the crisis in a NEW way like he advertised!
Make him earn his money!
BTW your Sec of State has the best idea and it saves you some 15 billion in interest related borrowing costs:
raise the sales tax by 1/2 a cent
