Edwards campaign is a thud in Ohio

It looks like the signs of Edwards dropping out sooner than later are evident as Super Tuesday comes:

"Edwards drew 300 people to his University of Toledo rally, three times fewer than a crowd that welcomed Kerry recently to the same venue. Drawing even smaller crowds in Dayton, Ohio, and Cleveland later Monday, the freshman senator seemed listless and indifferent, stumbling over signature lines in his stump speech.

It seemed prophetic when aides at the Cleveland rally played Fleetwood Mac's "You Can Go Your Own Way."

Edwards' only victory came in his birth state of South Carolina, but that was four weeks and 11 defeats ago."

3. Funny - I wonder if this writer noticed that Kerry cancelled a rally in

Youngstown just a few days ago after Edwards packed and then rocked the Teamster hall - seems his campaign realized the smaller crowd he'd draw would look terrible in comparison.

But, then again, why mention anything like that? It might tend to make it harder to argue that Edwards has run out of steam in the state.

5. Edwards has a bright

future in politics. But its not his time. Maybe he should run for Governor of NC. That seat is up. Or try to get his Senate seat back. because in my opinion its not likely he will be VP.

6. John Edwards is a good man.

The guy would make an outstanding President, when the time's right.

For now, Senator or Vice-President sound good. Honestly, though, I'd like to see him as Attorney General putting the handcuffs on Lay, Rove, Ashcroft, Cheney, and the crazy monkey.

Edwards should run for governor. That would round him out a lot with some better experience.

8. Edwards as Governor of NC would be

a powerful weapon for Democrats. A great idea, hopefully Edwards will been keen on that idea. I seriously doubt he'll be a VP choice.

9. Isn't Easley running for reelection?

We have a Democratic governor running for reelection in 2004, but I guess Edwards could run in 2008.
