What Edwards knows that Obama doesn't...
There's an old Southern saying that goes: "NEVER CORNER ANYTHING THAT YOU KNOW IS MEANER THAN YOU."

That's what Barack did when he dissed Clinton's legacy. It's a hard lesson that will help him should he get the nomination. Bill Clinton is a pussycat compared to the critters on the other side!

1. I thought you were going to say
that Edwards knows every rotten trick that lawyers, Congress, corporations, and every other variety of snake out there tries to pull on the US people. Obama doesn't.

They're both basically company men at this point. However, I think Edwards has the better chance of turning into an effective fighter when they make him mad enough.

4. This is true.
I think if John gets cornered, he'll make like a wolverine in a barrel.

7. "...wolverine in a barrel."
The mental picture you painted made me chuckle. Thanks...I needed that today!

5. I agree that Edwards has great fighting skills...
And he also knows that ya don't go poking a formidable critter with a stick and think you're not gonna get bit!

8. Yeah, I spent part of my youth in that part of the country
and heard that very saying.

Around here it's don't pet a rattlesnake and don't sit on a cactus.

I used to see fools who did both every year.

Edwards doesn't strike me as a fool. I think he knows how much of a risk to take and just how far to poke that stick to provoke an unattractive reaction that will damage his opposition.

6. I think Edwards is better prepared to deal with the wrongwing's attacks.
It's not a big reason why I support him, but it sure doesn't hurt.

11. Edwards is bad defending everday Americans from corporations.
What is your beef with that? One of his cases really sticks with me, where Edwards helped defend children who have had their bowels sucked out by a mnaufacturer with a defective product. He has got a great record of fighting the system. That is the side of the law my principles are on. Where are yours?

10. That also applies to Obama
when "cornering" Hillary. I agree---it's training for what he'll be in for from the Republicans should he get the Democratic nomination.
