It's hard to believe that Sly and the Family Stone were sending out this message 4 decades ago....

And that it was nearly 16 years ago that the the riots sparked by the innocent verdicts in the Rodney King police beating trials left south central LA in flames....

I consider beating victim King to be sort of an idiot savant. There was real grief and passion in his face when he asked America as the riots blazed... <"People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along?">
