Obama Presidential Ad Gets Republican Support from Illinois Sen. Kirk Dillard
There's some controversy over this Obama ad playing in Iowa because it includes Republican Illinois State Senator Kirk Dillard, who was recently Chairman of the DuPage GOP.

This Ad is now also playing in Ohio. Add this with Reagan and his MO is getting even stronger. Disgusting If I wanted to play nice Wwith Repukes, I'd be one.

7. Without help from Republicans, Obama can't win the Democratic nomination.
I'd rather have a Democrat win our party's nomination.

3. Obama is no where near the liberal people perceive him to be
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 10:29 AM by Gman
he's very obviously playing both sides against the middle. In essence he's voting "present" when he has to declare if he is a Democrat or if he is a Republic.

11. Good point, and to one who was born and raised in Illinois
and came of age politically in the 1960s--the Daley I era in Chicago--the Obama camp's carping about that "dirty Clinton political machine" is pretty damn funny, in a calculated and cynical sort of way, of course.

10. WOW Obama-Repuke Love blossoms
Or should I say the love Grows? Is there any doubt whatsoever that Obama is a Reagan "Democrat" masquerading as a "true progressive? Who is Kirk Dillard? From the NY Times.

"But it would be too bad if Mr. Obama cakewalked into Washington. Not just for Mr. Obama, who would take office with an asterisk ("*ran against incompetents"). Illinois voters deserve to see a capable opponent force him to answer tough questions and defend his positions. In other words, they deserve a nonludicrous race.

They may get one yet. Kirk Dillard, the Republican chairman in DuPage County and a state senator who is regarded as a serious lawmaker, said he would announce his decision today."

Run, Kirk, run. Illinois needs you - and so does Mr. Obama.
