3. Truth be told I already voted
One can early vote in IL.

Anyway, robocalls burn me up. There is no qualitative difference between those and telemarketers. I am on the no-call list, which I wish was extended to political campaigns.

6. The "no call" is wearing thin for telemarketers too. They pretend to be pollsters now
Like everything that happen during W - at best it's ineffective.

14. Political calls are exempt.
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm

If I register my number on the National Do Not Call Registry, will it stop all telemarketing calls?

No. Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls.

21. Did you think I was serious?
Did you really think I was claiming that the angry amish poster and Edwards "had a lot of catching up to do?"

5. Too hard for you to hit the delete button?
I know how hard it is to press the play button and than when you start to hear an obvious robocall to hit the delete button 2 keys away. :sarcasm:

12. That's your biggest problem??
I'm more concerned with global warming, all the killing going on in Iraq, and the rape and pillage of America.

Buck up!

13. Beware of annoying robocalls claiming to be from a Dem
candidate. The calls could actually be from republicanz trying to make voters angry at Democratic candidates. Such a thing happened during the mid-terms here in NE. I'm sure NE wasn't the only place.

16. That happened in Iowa before the primary
calls were traced to a robo-calling center several states away, and they never could trace the source.

Considering the tight budget, I doubt the Edwards campaign can afford "5 minute" calls...lol.

I wish campaigns would include a box on their donation forms stating we do not wish to be called or our doors knocked on. They may make more money that way!
