One one hand, I'm Throughly Impressed by the Clinton Campaign

They have fought every single battle and addressed every single attack - big or small. Her numbers are holding up, and I think it's as a result of that strategy. We blamed Gore and Kerry for not addressing similar petty attacks that ended up sticking-out in voters' minds as a result. Maybe this is what we need to win the GE.

On the other hand, they're fought every single battle and addressed every single attack - big or small. All this back-and-forth crap is bogging down both campaigns. Hil & Obama seem more focused on killing each-others' momentum than they are trying to pick some up for themselves. I'd like to think our candidates would be able to rise above the petty minutae, but they keep getting dragged down by each-other, while MSM and mass-emails keep hammering away at these issues. They can't move on until the talking heads say so.

I imagine that Bill is tired of wagging his finger at the media, just like the Rolling Stones are tired of playing Satisfaction at concerts - but they feel like they have to.

The media is fueling the fire, but the campaigns are setting the tone. I want to feel enthusiasm for a candidate, but I can't seem to muster it up. Bummer. And sorry about all those mixed metaphors.

Not only does there seem to be a widening rift between the Clinton and Obama factions, but with Kerry's endorsement of Obama, I see signs of the revival of the old Kennedy/Clinton rivalries as well.

Me, I keep having fantasies of Wes Clark grabbing Bill and Barack by the backs of their necks and banging their heads together while repeating my sig line over and over and over until they finally GET IT.
