This "your likeable enough" bullshit needs to stop.
It was a joke. Humor. It was a little bit of deadpan comedy. Fuck.

Thanks! :)

2. Obama admitted that he thought...
...it was a mistake.

It was.

Haven't any of you said something, in a way that you didn't mean? It rolls off of you,
and you realize as you're saying it that it's not what you intended?

Geez.

Let's talk about something a bit more important--like the mating habits of the Chilean flap wing fruit bat.

6. It was smarmy and snide.
And he got taken to the woodshed for it. As he should have been.

And I don't mind talking about it at all.

22. You're so money, and you don't even know it....
Not only sexist and patronizing...but deranged and evil!

Let's just call a spade a spade here.

Obama's "you're likable enough" statement, for which he apologized---is proof
that he's a communist bloodthirsty serial killer. He hates all women, and
probably himself.

I supported (notice the past tense?) Obama because he has repeatedly promised to
restore Habeas Corpus and uphold the Constitution. He is a Constitutional Scholar, after all--with
a decade of experience teaching Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago.

Obviously, "you're likable enough" is more evil than the Constitution of the United
States is important.

Thank you for helping me see the light.

:eyes:

7. Obama's humor sometimes falls flat
The "likeable enough" and then more recently "An African-American, a woman, and....John" Both came across as mean-spirited. He may not have meant it that way, but I saw both statements, and winced.

8. I think his sense of humor is a bit on the dry side.
Which is often misunderstood and easily turned against someone in the public eye.

10. Obama showed himself for the arrogant prick he is
It was a classless comment. What stood out for me was that he didn't even really look at her when he said it. I noticed he had his head down when he said it.

His body language said a lot.

13. It was a joke
but delivered inartfully.

Fair or not, one has to be careful with such comments when addressing a woman in a debate.

Ric Lazio hurt himself badly by acting disrespectfully toward Clinton. She was, at the time, the First Lady and people were put off by his arrogance.

18. I thought it was hilarious
but yes, it was nasty. I've heard from a lot of people who didn't care for it. I think the media failed to pick up how big of an impact it probably had.

I agree with you, but can we not just drop all discussion, pro and con, of all the trivia? IGNORE those who keep flapping their arms about the shit. Just raise your head up and look above the crowd.
