The John Edwards campaign office in Charleston SC is an empty strore front located between homeless shelter and a mission.

I can not help but being a changed person, having been here the last 5 days, away from the comfort of my home.

How meaningless and silly is it, that I type in my message to post on DU...from my cell phone.

The squabling and fighting I am catching up on means nothing to the five people huddled together on the wall near their beds left on the curb.
It is so different to rush past street people in 5 seconds...it is a whole different story when you spend five days in their world.
