Who would your choice be for a brokered nominee?

Thanks for registering your opinion.

2. if we did have to go to a brokered nominee
why would we included the names of two people, Obama and Edwards, who ran along with her and failed? Gore maybe, but your poll has two names it shouldn't and well go from there...

6. listen...
the delegates are not going to turn around and give it to second or third...the convention will draft someone else completely before we go for second best. We shouldn't be trying to find loopholes to get Edwards or Obama elected. If those two want the job they'll have to go out and win big on Feb 5th. No excuses or loophole or wild daydreams, we have a very important general election to win.

8. c'mon?
you're saying you honestly think we'll get to the convention and HRC win will be over-turned and handed over to Edwards or Obama? I'm a HRC fan, but I don't think "Well maybe we'll get lucky and Obama Del. Count won't cut the cheese and they brokered in HRC!! Cross my fingers!!" C'mon?

22. I'm pretty sure that Nuna Da Abuf is opposed to apartheid and ghettoization
of an otherwise free-world. Something about learning to avoid using out of frustration the things that were used against us.

I think that's one of the Progressive Rules. Do not do unto others as has been done unto you.

20. No, all kidding aside...
I think all the in-fighting between candidates signals the ultimate downfall of the Party. William Grieder wrote over 10 years ago that the party might need to be destroyed before it could be re-created into something more viable. I think , if Edwards is shut out it will signal an breach that may well be irreparable.

Although "V" is correct. "People should not be afraid of their Governments. Governments should be afraid of their People!"

24. Right now, a brokered convention with Gore as the nominee is the best option.
I'm not convinced that we can overcome 40 years of history and get a senator elected, and thanks to the media whores and DLC, senators are all we have remaining at the moment.

And when two of the 'Puke contenders are governors, that's even more troubling. Granted, one is a dog abusing flip-flopper whose religion is still considered a "satanic cult" by more than half of his own party. And the other is a dog-lynching wacko who wants to replace the Constitution with "God's Law", which should scare away all but the most delusional dominionists (along with his probable VP Chuck Norris wanting to force Bible curriculum in public schools).

But you won't hear of either's theocratical fanaticism in the Whore Media. Instead, they'll tell you what a "brilliant" business man Mittens is. Especially on Clear Channel radio stations, which he recently bought from the Bush Crime Family. And they'll play up the Huckster's "loveable guy you wanna drink a beer with" image.

Oh, and in the unlikely, horrible event that Hillary gets the nomination.... Huck knows the Clinton machine. He's ran against them in Arkansas, and won. Mittens has the Bush Crime Family (at least Jeb & Poppy) in his corner. Hillary wouldn't have a chance in Hell against either of those freaks.

Bring on President Gore. Sounds like the best possible option to me.

37. If no one receives 51% of the delegate vote on the first ballot
the delegates are released from their state primary or caucus commitment and are free to vote for whomever they want. This may be Clinton, Obama or Edwards (assuming Edwards has not dropped out of the race). The delegates can only vote for someone who has been "nominated" at the convention. Gore will not receive any delegate votes because he will not be among those "nominated" for the Democratic President.

After the first ballot, anything goes.

The more votes Edwards gets, the more likely we are to have an open convention.
