I started out supporting Edwards then decided he didn't have the weight to win especially on national security. If he pulled this one out though I'd be comfortable with him in the general election because it would be by keeping up the fight and taking advantage of opportunities when they came up.

I could support Edwards or Clinton even with donations but if Obama got it I probably wouldn't do anything to help other than vote for him because I would think it was a waste of time. He'd be out the first week after the nom.

1. I have to tell you--I am stunned that he is not leading. If he can't
win in his home state, where can he win?

4. No worries, he won't.
Beyond this Primary, if John Edwards is truly the populist that he has presented himself (Right now I have no reason to doubt him), he'll dig down deep and dispense with his sense of PERSONAL pride and ambitions to "unite with the Obama campaign."

In other words, continuing to play "the spoiler" will only benefit THE ESTABLISHED - CORPORATE - Clintonian DLC gleaning a 3rd Term of stacking OUR Executive Branch, i.e., neo-liberalim = Corporate Cronies. If John Edwards cares about us in the "non investor class" within the USA, he will UNITE with Obama.

Personally, I would be honored to have him as our Vice President ... + Edwards then serving as "President of The Senate" isn't too shabby for his noble concession on behalf of the WORKING People "wage slaves" of America. :patriot:

6. This has nothing to do with Edwards' personal pride.
He is doing it for US. Despite what you may have heard, he does still have a lot of support, and he will have the money to keep going.

And before Edwards unites with Obama, if he would ever even consider such a thing, Obama is going to have to let go of the corporate money, come clean on Rezko, and make amends for the Donnie McClurkin fumble.

Edwards has already stated that he will NOT accept a VP position.

9. Right now the important thing is to get the populist message
out there in front of the people. The campaign gives him a vehicle for doing that. Even if it now seems impossible for him to get the nomination, his presence on the campaign trail has forced certain issues into the agenda. This is no time to stop forcing the issue. So I say

Drive on, John Edwards.

10. Why would he not take it to the convention?
Where he can do the same thing AND have a much more profound impact on the future presidency?

11. He would have a lot better chance of pulling this out
if people would get off the fence and strongly support him NOW.

like Edwards, like his message best, but won't vote for him UNLESS he does "whatever".

14. I don't get it either...
..Edwards has to PROVE something before they'll support him even though they like his message and they like him but other candidates - don't.

?

Odd.
