Raise Your Hand If You're Sick Of the MSM Campaign Coverage (But You Still Watch It?)!
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 06:31 PM by ihavenobias
If you're tired of the corporate mainstream media election coverage, why are you watching (and therefore *supporting*) it?

Support progressive media and watch the BraveNewFilms.org/TYT.com election coverage instead (on LIVE right now).

They have fun and informative progressive hosts (including Cenk and Robert Greenwald, the man behind Fox Attacks, and BraveNewFilms with movies like Outfoxed and Iraq For Sale) with tons of great guests (Sam Seder was on for the Iowa coverage just to name one of many examples) and up to the minute updates on the polls.

If you watch at www.BraveNewFilms.org/election there is also a great live chat and live polling (i.e. instant polling of everyone watching the coverage). At the *very* least, you can have the TV on (if you insist) and do the live chat and polls at your PC.

Here is the guest list for the South Carolina coverage (keep in mind that they tend to add 1-2 last minute guests every time!):

4. I can't. That's only for you wealthy cable people.
Broadcast TV gives nothing.

5. Yanno, being on DU this is like watching someone read Dick Jane and Spot
The M$M treats the general population like people who are just starting to read.

If one more talking head on MSNBC talks about the "ramifications of the white 10%", I am going to cry.

At least KO has injected Edwards into the conversation.

9. The worst thing is
pairing up Olbermann with Matthews. I love Olbermann, but pairing him up with Matthews basically cancels out the benefit!

7. Media coverage is awful
Have all networks adopted the Fox News version of "fair and balanced". I am sick of MSNBC bias coverage of this election and their support for Obama.

10. Support for Obama?
I guess it depends. But yes, Matthews rips Hillary and no one talks about Edwards so maybe be default if that's what you mean...

8. Nope. Stopped watching two weeks ago when the spin was on over and over again about race and gender.
I do watch the Daily Show because I get a recap of the MSM spin there and it's absurdly funny. If they want my attention they will have begin reporting on the candidates positions on the issues that face country: I want to hear the candidates plans for dealing with the War in Iraq and Afghanistan, the "War on Terror", care for our Veterans and restructuring the dept. of Homeland Security, health care and medicare part D (a sham), social security, jobs and the economy, the path to citizenship for the 12 million illegal workers we depend on, the idiotic "no child left behind" education program, monitoring the oil industry and developing alternative fuels, global warming, updating our bridges and infrastructure and levies, etc., etc., etc. Dammit, so much that needs to be addressed and all we hear from our candidates are negative attacks to put each other in a negative light. And the MSM making race and gender the main issues while deverting attention from the real concerns of our beloved country. Enough already. I'll vote for the candidate strong enough to addresses the issues while attempts are being made to divert their attention to the absurd.
