13. Somewhere Edwards has to show he can draw minority voters though
Though I suspect if he became our nominee he would have no problem with that.

Clinton, on the other hand, may have problems with blacks if she is the nominee.

She probably has lost that vote to Obama for the rest of the primaries however, though maybe not by this big a margin.

And I suppose Obama knowing he won in SC because he is black and not because of his proposals is OK with him? And I guess it is converse concerning John Edwards winning the white vote for the same reasons? How does that serve the country well?

20. If Obama wins the nom I want it to be on ideas, not on race. Same if he loses.
And I feel the same way with Hillary about gender.

This might not work well for Obama. The media has been Jonesing to make this about race and/or gender and the hard work they've done is finally bearing the rotten fruit they crave. DON'T get me wrong - this is NOT about Hillary not winning the state - this is about all of us as Democrats in the general election ahead whether it's with Hillary or Obama. The media is determined to keep this up and we need to dig our way out of it collectively now.

They want us to fracture along race and gender lines, and in South Carolina, it looks like we have.
