What could that have been about? I doubt that they have made a deal. But would Hillary promise Edwards the VP to stay in the race, believing that neither she or Obama would have enough delegates to claim the nomination once they get to Denver? Only the delegates for Edwards would put her in the White House? I'm sure our honest Democratic candidates would not make deals like that? At least, I doubt that Edwards would make such a deal with Hillary. Perhaps Obama but not Hillary. :-)

4. She might have been telling him that she is expanding her tactics toinclude him. A fair warning.

5. She'd be better off with him out of the race.
He's helping split the white vote. I don't particularly believe the CW around here that Edwards supporters, in general, would flock to Obama, particularly his white supporters. If he drops out, Hillary's Super Tuesday looks pretty solid.

6. According to a poster here who has contacts inside the campaign, it was not a "meeting"
and not what people are rumor-mongering it to be. No meeting of such magnitude would take place under such public scrutiny.

7. I read somewhere (sorry don't have link)
That they met after the debate behind closed doors. But it was not uncommon for meetings to take place like this with other candidates after the debate. However this was the first time it had happened with Hillary.

My guess it was because he did very well in that debate and maybe Hillary was trying to open the dialog with him. I'm sure she's eye balling his delegates.
