Does anyone really think that Obama is going to win SC in the General...
Winning a primary comprised of the minority of voters in a southern state is not a great predictor of what will happen come November...

The only clear reality out of this is Edwards is finished...

It does show that Obama is capturing more of his natural base...

Which could play into other states that have large minority populations...

In the primaries, that is...

3. The Dems turned out 2:1 over the pukes.
I doubt any Dem would carry SC, though.

A Dem win isn't dependent on SC.

5. I think Obama's showings in ALL of the caucuses and primaries thus far
are pretty much shattering the belief that he's appealing primarily to minorities.

It makes me hopeful that maybe this country isn't as racist as I feared.

8. If by "natural base" you mean 50% of white voters under 30
then you are correct

12. White voters under 30 is a pretty slim demographic to pin hopes upon...
If you looked at historical voting trends you would notice they just don't get involved or vote en mass...

11. Why is Edwards finished?
All it proves is that in South Carolina 70% of the African Americans voted for Obama. Half the whites voted Republican and what was left divided the votes between Clinton and Edwards. Once we move into the states that aren't so heavily Republican on the white side, you may see a different vote emerge.

15. No Dem has won SC in the GE since
Jimmy Carter in 1976. I don't think any of them are banking on it, or Mississippi, Alabama, any of those Deep South states.

18. I love it when losers don't learn from their mistakes. It means they will keep losing. Keep it up!
Keep race baiting! I hope Bill sticks to it also.
