May the Cause of John's life continue to go forward all the way to Denver. Thank you John for calling the candidates to be adults.

4. I consider John Edwards a rock star, so I'm ready to promote
Obama and Clinton to legendary candidates. No shame in losing to legends.

Clinton robocalls hit Edwards

Guess he's still relevant enough to merit a robocall from Hillary that hits him on policy and character.

Here's the call (.mp3), and here's the transcript, from The Page:

Hello, This is the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign.

Before you vote on Saturday, you should know that John Edwards voted for permanent trade relations with China. That’s right, John Edwards voted for the bill that cost thousands of jobs. Like the ones in the textile mills he talks about so much down here.

You should also know that John Edwards made nearly a half a million dollars working for a Wall Street investment fund. A fund that’s been profiting on foreclosing on the homes of families; including 100 homes right here in South Carolina. That’s according to The State newspaper. Here in South Carolina, Edwards says he’s one of us, but up on Wall Street he was just another one of them.

Can you trust John Edwards?

15. Bill Clinton was behind that China trade bill.
I wonder if this really was from the Hillary campaign. It's hard to believe she would attack Edwards for voting for a bill that Clinton signed and wanted. I think someone heard that Hillary and Edwards talked after this week's debate and decided to try to get them to have hard feelings toward each other. I doubt that Hillary would approve this call criticizing the China Trade Bill. That makes no sense. There is another debate on 01/31. Hopefully Hillary will explain or respond to these calls before then. She may need Edwards' delegates to get the nomination. I just don't think these calls were from her campaign.

http://archives.cnn.com/2000/ALLPOLITICS/stories/10/10/clinton.pntr/

President Clinton closed years of political and economic debate Tuesday, and sealed a major achievement of his administration by signing a bill extending permanent, normal trade status to China.

"Today we take a major step toward China's entry into the World Trade Organization and a major step toward answering some of the central challenges of this new century," Clinton said in a bipartisan White House ceremony Tuesday afternoon.

"Trade with China will not only extend our nation's unprecedented economic growth, it offers us a chance to help shape the future of the world's most prosperous nation and to reaffirm our own global leadership for peace and prosperity."

12. 19, 20% is a number that
I would like to see in every primary from here on out. If he did this in every remaining state, he would be the vice-presidential nominee coming out of Denver.

23. hell, if he does that there won't be a first-round winner
and then anything goes

if by that time people have gotten "buyers remorse" and John has emerged even stronger as the "adult" they could flock to him.

unlikely, perhaps, but as long as he keeps the option alive, anything can happen.
