The best VP choice for any one of the three candidates is....
...Bill Richardson. He has the most experience negotiating the dangerous waters of Washington and the best balance for the ticket.

1. I like Richardson, but I'd be thrilled with Wesley Clark on any ticket.
I pity the poor VP candidate that would have to debate him.

14. Wes Clark is the guy I was thinking of
Clark could take on both McCain and whoever the Republican VP turns out to be, on issues of Iraq and national security.

he could be the "experience" some think Obama needs and the "testicular fortitude" some may think Hillary needs. :)

4. Yes. He is the best qualified. He would need to be oppo researched six ways to Sunday, and
vetted to within an inch of his life. He'd also have to develop a strategy to respond to any 'difficult' issues that might arise.

6. IF McCain is not who we run against, I agree completely
I'm sorry to burst your bubble because I think the guy is great. BUT..... If McCain is the Republican candidate then the western states goes out the window. We need someone to help deliver either Ohio or Florida.

8. Good tactical thinking there
Would Wes Clark help with Florida? Not so sure about Ohio, but Clark is well thought of in the South. His military career is a plus and his lack of political baggage would be helpful as well.

7. Richardson would be great
and when we win in November. As a governor, he won't be stepping down from a Senate seat, either. If Richardson doesn't want the position, Wes Clark would also be good; both men are strong on foreign policy.

...not his campaign style.

13. I didn't care about that I cared about his debate performances
we need someone who can show up when it is game time and make whomever the Republican select as their VP(Huck?) look like a fool.

12. I disagree, I think a military man like Clark or Webb would be
better. If McCain gets the nomination for the Repukes the Democrats would do better with some military representation in the VP slot, IMO.
