It's pretty darn hard living here sometimes. Tonight my very Red state ROCKS! The Demographics that Obama won here have made history that sends chills from head to toe. You go South Carolina! :):applause: Have you noticed how the little fella in the smilies looks like he is saying GOBAMA! :)

5. What democraphics? He won because he was the Black candidate..and I say that
as a Black female.

People in South Carolina simply voted for the Black candidate.

And that doesn't help my community at all.

13. You leave out the 52% of the younger white vote, why is that not a matter
to care about. I'm not AA, but I have a long family history in the south(yes it included a plantation). I think this is a great day. I'm proud of the AA community for taking a leap of faith that to me said they were willing to trust white voters to vote for a great man, not a great black man. Iowa saw a great leader. I see a great leader. Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg has just endorsed him and KO quoted her as saying she thinks he can be a great leader like her father. I agree with her.

23. You are so right...Thank you to the African Americans in SC...
They deserve all the credit for taking that leap of faith. Thank YOU for acknowledging that.

I'm going to start counting.

7. As one who lived in Beautiful Beaufort in the 80's for two years(military) I agree with you.
You have a great state, even if I didn't like living there then. I have to tell you I saw all sides of the place and knew some of the people would be open minded and fair. But even I didn't imagine a win like this.

15. Hey, I am so proud of South Carolina I can't stand it
and I can't claim the State as my own. South Carolina did itself proud. It did send a message. Hopefully that message will preclude any more campaigns being run in the vein the one we just witnessed was run.

I have refrained from saying this this entire campaign, but I will say it now. The Clintons had to have had a Southern Strategy (excuse me). And we saw the planks of that the last few weeks. I am hoping they now have no Southern Strategy as a consequence of these results.

Congratulations on the message your state sent tonight.

Sam
