The Arizona Republic -- largest paper in the state -- endorses Obama!

Obama represents a fresh, optimistic approach. His youthful voice calls for fundamental changes and a return to "an America that believes again." His oratory soars. While talk alone isn't enough, it has been a very long time since Americans had a leader who appealed to their better nature.

5. That's pretty big considering Arizona is a Feb. 5th state.
Sunday Circulation is 541,757.

"The Arizona Republic editorial board endorsed President George W. Bush in both the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. However, it has recently endorsed Democratic candidates, such as current Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano and current Arizona Congressman Harry Mitchell."

Could cause some significant inroads among younger white voters.

8. I think maybe 25-50,000 will see the endorsement and possibly read the editorial.
The bigger thing with alot of these endorsements is that they can be used in targeted campaign ads and will influence late breaking undecideds.

7. The Arizona Republic can kiss my ass
Not because they endorsed Obama, but because of this shit....

First, we need to acknowledge that there will be other candidates on Arizona's Feb. 5 Democratic primary ballot. The most significant of these is John Edwards. As the son of a mill worker, he also exemplifies the promise of America. But his populist appeal relies too much on demonizing big business, and his death knell for the middle class is premature. He doesn't measure up.

This contest is between Obama and Clinton.

Demonizing big business?? Death knell for the middle class premature??

Maybe in a state where over HALF THE POPULATION ARE RETIRED SNOWBIRDS, you don't notice these fucking things as much as the rest of the world?

Fucking corporatist assholes.
