Front page below the fold of today's right-wing
The Greenville News, by unapologetic right-winger Dan Hoover, in a region (the Upstate) that went for Huckabee in last week's GOP primary, this (wish I knew how to increase the type size):
MASSIVE DEMOCRATIC VOTE REVERSES GOP'S DOMINANCESlug: Democratic turnout
raises power shift potential (my emphasis).
Sorry, this front-page article appears to have been pulled already from the paper's website:
http://greenvilleonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/frontpage I'll deal with them, and that, tomorrow. Meanwhile, the GOPers are shaking in their boots in SC now. We turned out almost 550,000 voters yesterday to the GOP's 400,000+ last week. The difference between the Democratic turnout and the GOP turnout exceeded SC GOP front-runner John McCain's total vote.
The primaries go on, as do the fights. Although I voted for Edwards, I am ecstatic over Obama's stunning landslide in SC. I'll be sending him money now, too.
Hillary garnered almost as many votes as GOP winner McCain (see link to NYT below). That impresses me too. I've got enough room on my AMEX card for Hillary, too.
But the big winner in South Carolina yesterday was the South Carolina Democratic Party. What a day!
