Who Else Here Has a Picture of JFK on Their Wall?
Mine is of him shaking hands with my grandfather. It's one of my greatest treasures.

10. I'm sure you're not alone in that
I think many families never took them down since the 60s.

3. I have a framed quote of his on my office wall
A quote near and dear to U. S. Sailors everywhere:

"Any Man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
"I SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY."

The conclusion of a speech he gave at Annapolis, August first, 1963.

Cherished treasure indeed.

9. Believe it or not I have a whole room full
of JFK and RFk in my house and I still have tons left over. I know it sounds untrue, but it is true. Books, campaign posters, busts, plates, campaign treasures, Inauguration invites, PT109 clips, you name it, been collecting for almost 35 years. And I squeezed in quite a lot of President Clinton memorabilia, letters from him, Inauguration memoriabilia etc.

THAT'S why this comparison to Obama irritates me. There IS no comparison. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course, but to ME, there is simply no comparison to either JFK or RFK.

13. It's odd that you say that about no comparison.
Since to Teddy there IS a comparison. I think he should know, if anyone does.

12. For me it's RFK.

I was just eight years old when I saw him on the tarmac at Stockton Airport.

20. I love the way they moved the people.
I've read too much about the Kennedy's to be delusional about the family being paragons of good judgment, and virtue, but I admire the way JFK and RFK moved the nation.

My favorite quote is from Bobby:
“If we do our duty, if we meet our responsibilities and our obligations, not just as Democrats, but as American citizens in our local cities and towns and farms and our states and in the country as a whole, then this generation of Americans is going to be the best generation in the history of mankind.”

To me, this is the very definition of true, and legitimate activism.

17. We have a black and white 8 X 10 framed pic of him sitting on our office desk.
It's a close-up head shot of him with his hands folded together, his elbows resting on his desk and he looks like he's listening to someone talking to him. It's a great picture. I have no idea where my husband got it though. It was his when we got married.

18. My grandmother had two iconic pictures
hanging on her dining room wall; one, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the other a black framed photo of JFK. If you wanted to enjoy your dinner, you didn't make a snarky comment about either one lol.

If Jackie cut her bangs differently, my mom and her sisters were debating the look on the phone. My mom had a virtual second Kennedy library in our attic. We loved, loved, loved everything Kennedy!

is a lovely portrait of RFK and JFK taken during the Cuban missle crisis.
We've not seen their like since, may they rest in peace.
