3. Absolutely! let's see if the Dems can DO SOMETHING today!
Boxer has a great amendment, and it seems the great Barack and Hillary are finally going to grace the senate with their presence.

6. IF a filibuster is warranted, WHEN does that begin? The vote is scheduled for
4:30. Would he filibuster to STOP the vote from happening?

8. the scheduled vote is for cloture - to stop the debate
and then a simple majority vote will win. If you don't vote to end the discussion and vote - it is essentially dead. You don't really have to speak endlessly. We want them to vote AGAINST the cloture motion at 4:30.

http://www.senate.gov/reference/glossary_term/cloture.htm

cloture - The only procedure by which the Senate can vote to place a time limit on consideration of a bill or other matter, and thereby overcome a filibuster. Under the cloture rule (Rule XXII), the Senate may limit consideration of a pending matter to 30 additional hours, but only by vote of three-fifths of the full Senate, normally 60 votes

19. If I'm getting this right, even Rockefeller voted against cloture on HIS bill! I'm
hoping it's due to a lot of feedback from citizens.

Will miracles never cease. I wonder what changed her mind from the vote last week? I guess it must have been the Washington Mardi Gras party over the weekend. :)
