The Rezko Problem is going to grow exponentially now.

The impending trial on Feb 25, with disclosures between now and then, will continue to draw publicity.

And as I said before, it is not the activities that Obama engaged in with Rezko which will hurt him the most. It will be the connections and activities that Rezko has to others that will paint him as a totally unacceptable real estate business participant with Obama.

The Rezko Problem could have been fully disclosed by Obama weeks-months ago, and now even with a full explanation Obama will be painted with the same brush.

What Obama needs to do is what lawyers sometimes call "pulling the teeth of the tiger," because if he doesn't (or perhaps even if he does) this thing will come back to bite him, probably at the least opportune time for all of us.

Fitzpatrick has said Obama is not being investigated and that there was no wrongdoing on his part.

It will be very interesting to see what disclosures actually come out between now and trial, because both sides will be precluded from releasing any "proof" in the form of a paper trail, to the public.
