A few days ago, most here were convinced that Teddy Kennedy
wouldn't endorse any candidate in the primaries. I always thought he would. And I think Al Gore will too, and that he'll also endorse Obama.

Get ready to rend your attire and wail and tear out your hair.

36. Never mind, I found something stating Gore is a super delegate.
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 08:44 PM by PeaceNikki

I've been trying to find some evidence of who all the super delegates are.

Any idea where I might find that?

Hillary is trying to be the first to lose all 50!

38. Well, Mondale endorsed Clinton and he has more spine than you do!
Who the hell are you to impugne these fine Democrats?

They may not have won their presidential elections but they are not losers by any rational stretch.

Why is it you feel the need to call good Democrats losers?

More crap from the Hillary Herd. They apparently don't give a rip about good Democrats. The herd tramples anything in its path, including the Democratic Party.

6. Kennedy Was Fed Up With The Clintons
The idea that race baiting goes on in 2008 - from a putative Democrat, no less - is astonishing. Ted couldn't keep back any more.

I think Obama will get more big endorsements soon, if only to drive a stake through the heart of the Clintons. The deceitful duo's antics in the past few weeks have been shameful, and I suspect that most elected Democrats and the DLC want them out of the game.

14. The CW was that Kennedy would stay neutral
and the reason I think Gore will endorse Obama is some stuff I read months ago, and just gut feeling. I can't remember where I read it, but Gore seemed to indicate that he might endorse during the primaries, and I don't think he's likely to endorse Clinton.

15. Gore won't endorse Obama, here's why.
http://grist.org/candidate_chart_08.html#null

Obama is no better than Clinton on the environment. They both are beholden to the corporate masters, the coal and nuclear lobbyists.

Edwards would be the only one to get an Al Gore endorsement. Look at the chart and make your own analysis, as if you were Al Gore.

19. What difference does it make?
If he can't win the general election, who cares who endorses him? Do you think that repbulcians will come on board and vote for him simply because of Kennedy, or Gore?

I am sorry, but endorsements mean nothing come general election time, nothing at all! We have to get a nominee that can beat any republican that they put out there, I don't really think Obama can do it!

41. I think it has to do with competition for position in their administration.
She took an office in the West Wing, which I believe was unprecedented, and assumed privileges that are normally the vice-president's. I think they were competing for President Clinton's attention. Of course, it could be as simple as a visceral animosity, with no logical reason. People are that way, sometimes.

35. He just wrote a book about the toxicity of politics
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 08:32 PM by Turn CO Blue
so why would he want to get slimed by all that is toxic and endorse anyone? Who is he going to endorse in your opinion?

He has been making his own policy statements regularly on Current - seen anybody line up with him? The closest one is Edwards, yet he's not close enough on climate change policy to suit Al Gore, I'm certain, because Al has made it clear that he is looking for someone who will change the entire economy to one based on a carbon-tax.

I wager he keeps his peace until after the primaries, then he'll endorse the Dem. If he does endorse someone for the primaries, I certainly won't trash him. He's a visionary and a fine human.
