I for one applaud his ability to be the bigger man.

It was the first time that Clinton and Kennedy had met since the endorsement.
And since she put out her hand to Kennedy first, he probably thought he should remove himself.

It is the kind of thing I have done.

12. That was actually my honest impression as well.
That's the natural reaction when two people start a conversation and you're the third.

I'd bet that Obama probably thought they might have something to say to one another and that he shouldn't necessarily be privy to. Ted and Hillary did have a friendship before the endorsement, after all. Why should he be lingering over them while they talk it out?
