Really sad. White Women voting for the white woman just because she is a white woman, african americans voting for the african american just because there is an african american like them in the race, white men voting for the white male candidate in the race, hispanics voting against the black candidate because of long standing divisions with the black community, establishment types voting for other establishment types who are against establishment types voting for other establisment types, poor voting for the person that most makes them feel better, rich voting for the soaring candidate with high minded rhetoric just to make them feel more comfortable with their degrees.

UGH. UGH UGH. If you look at the exit polls, young people are the only ones not breaking into these ridiculous sub-groups! We are the way of the future. Our elders, well, they should just be ashamed of themselves. It's young people that don't care if you're GLBT, if you're Hispanic, if you're black, white, purple, it's young people that actually have the best interests of the country at heart.

Meanwhile, our "adult" friends play their mindless games. I guess that's why there is poverty, wars, etc.

I'm disgusted.

1. Oh, you poor dear.
You snot your elders in a completely ageist manner and then say, "young people are the only ones not breaking into these ridiculous sub-groups! We are the way of the future. Our elders, well, they should just be ashamed of themselves." LOL!

Cookie? YOUTH is a subgroup. And that was the insensitive, uncomprehending rant of a bigot.

2. ROFL. me a bigot?
You haven't got a clue about my personal beliefs. Well, let's look at it this way. Young people don't care about gay marriage and don't support constitutional ammendments to ban it, race is hardly an issue in the public school system but it is a huge issue in the "real world", in S.C. according to the exit polls young whites didn't break the same way older whites did and broke more evenly.

How can you deny that young people are more tolerant and more idealistic than their elders? Which sub-group opposed the Iraq war the most?

4. Ahem. Our anti war protests didn't garner a youthful attendance
until we'd been at it for over a year.

Watchit, youngin'

:)

5. They did!
It just wasn't enough to fend off the evangelicals that Rove was able to find in every corner of every swing state.

10. I'm a white woman voting for Edwards. What am I? Chopped liver?
:7 I live in Illinois, so my vote really won't matter. Obama has the state wrapped up here, but I may be able to help Edwards make his 15%....that's very important to me. His agenda is the most important thing.
