15. We would start seeing lots of Progressive legislation, universal health care,
building up infrastructure, real improvements for schools, cut the drug companies out of Medicare Drug, reduce "fat" in Pentagon budget, etc.

It would be an absolutely huge change. If a program didn't benefit the citizens, it wouldn't get initiated. If it was solely to pad the pockets of corporations or the wealthy, it would get shot down.

It would be an absolutely transformational presidential term. Like LBJ with Civil Rights, Medicare, Voting Rights Act, etc. But without the Vietnam.

3. Edwards would win every debate
with the Republicans.

The Repukes would know this and agree to one or, at most, two, debates.

Why would there be a debate after the election?

Maybe rather than adding anything to the thread, you just decided to bash Edwards.

Oh, you're an Obama supporter. That explains it. Carry on.

13. Misread the OP
Give me a f'in break. If I want to bash John Edwards, I certainly have a number of things I can use.

I thought it said what if John Edwards wins the nomination.

I stick by my statement that John would win every debate with Republicans. If you think that is a snub, go right ahead.

11. If Edwards is elected, the sales of Depends will go sky high in
all stores located near insurance companies. Actually, I'd love to see John as AG. He could probably do more from that position than anyone can do as president.

16. With Edwards we would KNOW real change was on the way. Single payer health CARE
re instituting FDR's New Deal in total. Progressive appointments to the SCOTUS and the end of the tyranny of parasitic corporate rule of our government.

With Obama we would be hoping for some changed and get compromise with all our ideals.

17. We'd have a president who
listened to, and gave a voice to, We the People.

Edwards might not be able to turn things around immediately, but he wouldn't give up trying to accomplish what he set out to do. He sure as hell wouldn't go Pelosi on us and play footsy with the repugs.

18. It would show that the country is completely filled with drooling idiots.
Since it won't happen, we can comfort ourselves that the country is only partly consisted of drooling idiots, same as always.

19. I agree with all that was said in post #2 and want to add..
that he would fight the republican agenda... not 'make nice' with them or join with them in their repulsive ideas.

IMO he is the only one left who CARES about the middle class & the poor & will actually DO someting for them other than pay lip service.
