1. She is a wonderful lady
She's pretty much the VOICE of the Democratic Black Caucus. She's articulate, intelligent and a likable lady. She will bring in lots of votes in California for Hillary probably more then Ted Kennedy. I could kiss you Maxine. :)

8. That's nothing.
Wait 'til you stumble across the thread where they're pissing on Maya Angelou.

12. They better not mess with Maya
She's from my home state. I love listening to her speak, it's so uplifting. :)

16. Tell me you're not serious. They're dumping on Maya Angelou?
That's about all the hope and unity I can take.

17. Not with the blatant disdain being visited on Gray Davis...
...but, as I understand it, Toni Morrison could "take" Maya, Toni Morrison + Alice Walker together really trump Maya, and anyway, Maya has to endorse HRC, 'cause she was poet laureate during Bill's admin, and anyway that's "old news," so, you know, I guess, like, her endorsement doesn't count as much. Or something. :eyes:

One poster says Angelou and Morrison both "suck eggs," so I guess that opinion cancels itself out.

(Meanwhile, the Kennedy endorsements appear to prove that Obama is indeed the risen Messiah. I, however, have been far too kind to remind anyone that the name "Kennedy" does not necessarily indicate sound judgment. To wit: Maria Shriver and Eunice Kennedy Shriver for Arnold the Republican Serial Groper in the California Recall Circus of 2003.)

10. Oh now that's funny. I'm not a Clinton supporter but Maxine Waters can kick their asses
any day. She is fearless and is well respected in Los Angeles among her constituents and others. She is also one of the many strong leaders within the black caucus, this lady is a treasure.

3. Always a good lady.
I don't think I would lose respect for her even if she didn't, but I am so happy she did.

13. If Norah O'Donnell was any kind of journalist,
she would ask Rep. Waters about the mandatory minimum sentences that encarcerate more African Americans than any other groups.

Bill Clinton signed it into law and Hillary won't repeal it if she's president.

14. It wasn't intended to target AA
It's to target anyone whether they be black, white, asian. I'm sorry you feel it was meant that way.
