Poll question: How Many Clinton Supporters Will Not Vote for Obama if he Wins the Nomination?
I can't believe how hateful some of the posts have gotten on this forum, so I'm curious to know (I'll post the Obama version of this seperately) how many people can get past their hate.

If Obama wins the nomination, will you vote for him in the General Election?

3. I feel sorry for you.
Hillary is not my candidate, but I will vote for whoever the Dem candidate is. To refuse to vote for Obama if he is the candidate will support the repubs. Plus, you know he's not anti-gay or a bigot. C'mon, get real.

92. First of all, get rid of the name-calling. I didn't start out calling you names. Yet, you've
reduced yourself to calling me "ass" and "moron."

Secondly, you're damn right I won't vote for the nominee, if I don't believe in that person. Are you suggesting I should put a party above principle?

If I don't think someone represents my interests or values, I'm not voting for them. It's that simple. I'm not going to vote for someone just because of political expediency.

95. LOL! Like you're one to talk about "name-calling".
You've called Obama and his supporters every name in the book. Forgive me if I call bullshit.

Secondly, if you don't vote for the Democratic nominee, you're a Shillbot troll, not a Democrat.

Even though Hillary Clinton does not represent my interests or values, she's far better than any Republican and I will vote for her if she's the nominee. I expect that any real Democrat would feel the same about any of our current candidates. If you stay at home, you're helping the Republicans. Is that what you really want?

That said, depending on whom the Repukes nominate, I might change my mind.

59. The results of this poll are fucking sad.
50% of people voting on Democratic Underground won't vote for the Democratic nominee because their guy didn't win.

America is fucking over I swear to god..... we deserve what happens to us.

66. It will be incredibly difficult, but at this point I will vote for him.
I won't feel good about it. And he does NOT deserve my vote, but the alternative is probably worse.

78. You keep citing the "other" poll. You should provide a link.
This would make it much more efficient for people to compare your results.

80. I fully expect them to actively undercut Obama at every turn
Just like they did to Kerry, keeping their candidate alive for four more years.
Why should they suddenly see the light and change their stripes?
They won't.
