Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 09:03 PM by William769
Even though no delegates were awarded. Hillary is going into Super Tuesday going to take a majority win in population and delegate vote.

People may be downplaying Florida but it has given us a snapshot of what will happen next Tuesday.

28. Reps apx 1.8 million and Dems apx1.6 million votes BUT
The Dem numbers are without any active campaigning happening at all, except for a week of Obama adds. We're in good shape I think.

4. Exit polls are irrelevant for Florida
We have no clue what would have happened if Obama supporters had had the slightest bit of motivation to go out and vote today.

By the way, can you tell me which states Clinton has won that have led to her winning more delegates than Obama? Oh cuz I'm such a nice guy I'll tell you: ZERO.

Obama had the advantage in awarded delegates before tonight. He still does.

7. So is that an admission that's it's not about civic responsibility.. just about your candidate?
There were other issues on the ballot.... including a property tax giveaway that Crist engineered.

Ok, I got your number.

11. Yes he had the advatage and with that advantage he is losing Florida by 21% right now.
BTW the delegate count is Clinton 252, Obama 158. Come Super Tuesday as I said the picture Florida has given us bodes very well for Hillary In the Latino vote by itself.

There's no doubt in my mind that she's going to win Super Tuesday now, it's definitely hers to lose to Obama

9. I am a floridian. I VOTED FOR OBAMA
However, I decided whoever wins our primary, i'll support in GE. What I do know is that Hillary is no Kerry and Gore.. if something fishy happens here in the GE with our votes and the machines SHE WILL FIGHT FOR IT!!..

She is a tough cookie and she calls it like it is. Yesterday she loudly said exactly what i felt about the SOTU AND his last speach.. that it was his last.. AND i WAS :bounce:

congrats to HILLARY!!..

let the best one win on super tuesday.

10. You're ignoring the most imporatant part of the exit polls
voters who decided who voted today broke for Obama, with no campaigning. People who voted MONTHS ago went for Hillary.

Her camp is worried tonight. Don't let the mad hatter party fool you.

Not exactly true as he had ads on TV. If you really think that nobody has heard of Obama and just voted for Hillary out of name recognition, you're dreaming.

30. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Hillary won that "most important part"
That "most important part" (may I quote you elsewhere?) went to HILLARY!

Exit polls: Clinton wins late deciders

Among all voters who made their decision in the last three days (including those who made their decision today), 37 percent went for Clinton and 34 percent went for Obama in early exit polls.

Among voters who made their decision on Election Day, the gap was even larger: 35 percent supported Clinton, 31 percent John Edwards, and 27 percent Obama. When those last minute-deciders are removed from the equation, Obama regains a 5-point edge over Clinton among just those voters who made their decision over the weekend, 45 to 40 percent.

19. Just returned from working at Florida Primary ;surprised that area which was mostly african american
and Haitian in South Florida voted for Hillary instead of Obama. Even young
African American women were voting for Hillary as well as the elder AA men and women. I was really quite surprised to see that. How do I know? We were using Sequoia touch machines in 3 lanugages English, Spanish, and Creole. about 50% of the people needed help operating the machines (not he most user friendly program) and so I did see how they were voting.

Hillary's win, no surprise, but I didnt expect it to be THAT BIG.

20. not really
I don't know what's going to happen next Tuesday, but certainly Florida has given us no snapshot of anything.

It was an uncontested election.

Super Tuesday has contested elections.

24. Don't be so sure.
Hillary won by a big margin because of early voting. Had there not been early voting, it would've been very close and Obama (according to those exit polls) would have won. Now that does favor Clinton in California, where a lot of voters have already cast their ballots, but it's obvious Obama is trending upward. Will it be enough to win a larger share of delegates Tuesday? Hard to say, but I wouldn't discount him.

32. Go check the exit polls.
They were talking about it on MSNBC and CNN last night.

That is an exact quote from them. Hillary won big with the votes cast early, Obama won with the votes cast yesterday.
