4. I believe X is usually defined as 60's and 70's
but it's a bell curve. Boomers run though 1964 or 1965. So if you're in the overlap, it's more just how you define yourself.

8. I was born in 1963. He's a couple of years older than me, I think.
I'm sort of half way between a boomer and an Xer, right on the cusp, iirc.

But if you wanna split hairs, go right ahead.
