O'Donnell was left speechless after her Hispanic guest confirmed
that CA Latinos support Hillary more than Obama. She immediately dismisses his comments and tries to get her other guests to disagree.

4. Clinton will hold a majority of the Latino vote.
Ted Kennedy's endorsement does not matter here.

"Now more California politicians are jumping on the Barack Express. Also Sunday, Xavier Becerra, the ranking Latino in the House of Representatives and assistant to Nancy Pelosi, announced his endorsement of Obama. Suddenly, California Latinos are coming out of the woodwork. Just before the South Carolina primary, state senate majority leader Gloria Romero was made a national co-chair of the campaign. By Monday noon, Joe Coto (chair of the CA Latino Caucus), Nicole Parra, Gilbert Cedillo and Dean Florez--all state legislators--were standing with Romero on the steps of the state Capitol in Sacramento to speak out, in both English and Spanish (Univision was rolling the camera), in a press conference for Obama. Why these folks didn't start campaigning last fall is the big question, but one drowned out by the bigger endorsements of the day from Ted Kennedy, his niece Caroline and Toni Morrison. Topping this good news--if such a thing is possible nine days out from primary--is the four million dollars the Obama Campaign raised online over the weekend."http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mayhill-fowler/obama-camp-makes-gains-in_b_83750.html

5. So, one Latino speaks for all?
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 11:35 PM by Kristi1696
I think that anybody who claims that they know how Latinos will vote is a fool.

Latinos have different opinions and interests, just like every other supposedly monolithic group in this country.

6. No one said "one Latino speaks for all." The guest was from Telemundo
so I think he is qualified to give an opinion about CA Latino voters. He said the majority favor Clinton.

Rants like yours is so typical of Clinton haters I just have to place you on ignore from now on.

7. However, her guest seemed unaware
that the children of Bobby Kennedy, who was a saint to the California migrant workers, are indeed supporting Hillary Clinton.

O'Donnell and the rest of the media insist on saying "the Kennedys have endorsed Obama" as though RFK's children don't exist. That needs to be pointed out, every time they paint "the Kennedys" with one broad brush stroke. Bobby Kennedy Jr. is a major environmental activist, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend was the Lt. Gov of Maryland and Kerry Kennedy is a civil rights activist. Don't they count? The media is aware of them and their endorsement, but it doesn't fit their idiotic sound bites.

10. I was once told that Hispanics would not vote for Obama because their is some sort of racial divide
amongst blacks and Hispanics. Is there any truth to this?

15. Wait. Poor people of any ethnicity compete for resources.
So, you are really only referring to a segment of each group and in the context of poverty.

The media hypes this in order to demonize both groups. It's an efficient strategy.
