Bill and Hillary Clinton are no different than Bob Corker in the Harold Ford/Corker TN Senate race
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 12:05 AM by Tropics_Dude83
I forget who this analyst was, wasn't Brazille or Bennett, but he/she was interviewed and the anchor asked "so how does Hillary recover from this and will she win New Hampshire." He/she said "nope, won't win New Hampshire, but will play the race card to win Super Tuesday."

At the height of Obamamania, somebody had the foresight to say that and it has stuck in my mind. Now Obama can just barely get 20% of Whites. Three states now (Nevada, Florida and S.C.)

The Clintons played the race card, made Obama Jessie Jackson, turned whites against him and hispanics as well. Now they are sitting pretty.

Got to hand it to the Clintons. Sure they do whatever it takes to win but they do win. Obama is just a black candidate that appeals to high-brow White voters, young white voters and African Americans now.

Thanks Bill and Hillary! You destroyed the star of one of the most exciting and unconventional democratic politicians to come along in a long time and ensured more partisan division. At least, you get the White House back which you so DESPERATELY want.

Good on ya!

A question for Bill and Hillary: How are you any different from Jessie Helms or Bob Corker?

1. Obama played the race card. Specifically his surrogates, but he refused to shut them up.

6. It's hard not to give up
Tough loss tonight, NO national poll movement whatsoever on a huge win and the endorsement of the daughter and brother of a beloved former president.

If this doesn't move the meter, what will?

13. He's ahead in GA, tied in CT
Moving in closer in the rest of the states. Have you seen Caroline's ad? By Friday this is going to be a nail biter and by Tuesday there will be several states that look like SC, and none where Hillary will have a comfortable win.

And there was no tough loss tonight, I don't know what you're talking about.

15. I was just thinking today how many times this has swung back and forth.
At the beginning, Hillary was a given. Then, after Iowa, people were assuming Obama had it in the bag. THEN NH, THEN Nevada.

Do you remember not that long ago that the media and observers were on a death watch for McCain? And that Romney didn't have a chance?

Hell, Hillary had just a tough a loss in SC, but she came back today. And so it will go.

Things are just all over the board during this election - and because of the non-delegates from FL and MI, it's still going to be dicey after Super Tuesday.

NOBODY knows how it's going to turn out.

And look, I'm not an Obama supporter but I know what it feels like to believe in a candidate and have your heart full of hope. I don't want you to lose that. Hang in there!

9. Obamites: any state that doesn't vote for St. Obama is racist
And then they wonder why he has went from 36% white support in New Hampshire to 24% in SC (third) and 22% (tied for second) in Florida.

10. And doesn't it mean anything to anyone?
When the very private daughter who has only endorsed her uncle in a democratic primary before of an beloved ex-president makes an endorsement and the masses are still unmoved, I lose hope.

12. It was the Obamas who brought race into the campaign first
It wasn't Hillary Clinton who spoke about "whites will solidify behind us" or Bill who said whites would wake up and vote overwhelmingly for Hillary.

14. IF you know the history of the Clintons this is a shameful attack
If you support Obama or any of the other democratic candidates you are now dirty and I don't want to hear how pure and pristine your candidate is. The clintons are STRONG because they've put up with this BS for years and WON.

You must be a Repuke so get LOST!!!!

Any Obama supporter who buys into this PLEASE! There's a point at which you cannot break ranks!
