Gore unlikely to endorse according to adviser
-snip-

At this point, he has not told any of his political advisers and friends if he is considering an endorsement. During the past year, he has spoken privately with all three leading Democrats.

An adviser said that Mr. Gore had long ago decided to lay low once the Democratic delegate selection contests began so as not to interfere in the race.

2. He'll endorse the Democratic Candidate in GE
There's no chance he'll endorse anyone in the Primaries, though...

7. Would Love Him To Support Edwards... But Maybe It's Better That He
doesn't even get into the "fray!" This place is in "OVER-LOAD" and one more STUPID Democrat endorsing seems asinine!!

I know it's made ME feel very creepy and SICK all at once. True colors are hard to stomach, when I thought so much of certain people! One thing it has done, it has solidified my determination to finish out this campaign and just "get the hell" away from being an activist! I NEVER thought that day would come, but I know in my bones that what I'm seeing is not an America I ever knew. I at least thought Democrats were different and would FIGHT "for the people" and that just isn't happening, and from the looks of things, it's going to take a very long time!

It's MONEY & POWER to the MAX, and it isn't why I got involved in the first place. Can't even say I'll be an Independent, just won't be anything. If someone catches my eye, maybe I'll vote... but I'm DONE! My "goose" is cooked, actually "well done!"

And, I won't let the door kick my ass on the way out. Just thought I'd add that before anyone else did!

8. Al Gore's Current Media files for $100 million IPO
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 12:47 AM by ben_meyers
Here is one of the reasons that he won't be involved much in this years race. Al's network is trying to raise a lot of money, he can't afford to be too partisan. This should also put to rest any talk of a draft Gore movement or a run for the White House.

Current Media said Gore, who won the Nobel Peace Prize last year, and Hyatt have been instrumental in securing distribution and advertising agreements for Current TV. It warned that the departure of either executive would be a risk.

"In particular, if Mr. Gore were no longer actively involved in our business or no longer to hold a substantial ownership stake in us, our relationships with key distributors and our business could be materially and adversely affected,"
Current Media said in the filing.

This is in addition to his new partnership in the large Silicon Valley venture capital firm. I think Mr. Gore has moved beyond politics.
