Breaking: No one in Florida Knows Who Barak Obama is
He never had a chance. No one knew him.

Sure he ran ads, has had unlimited free press coverage for months and days, but still the Democratic voters of Florida did not even know his name. Even though, I think they have TV's in Florida. Don't they?

When they saw his name on the ballot it did not ring a bell. So all the people said lets go with the other candidate Clinton, I know that name.

Ah yes, it has finally been proven, those Florida voters are a bunch of hanging chads, their votes should never count.

Yep that's the ticket, no one knew him.

1. They have no access! No tv's, no computers. Poor guys
Increasingly difficult to fathom why Barack even bothered to run those campaign ads down there.

No print, no internet - nothing. Total wilderness. Alligators and Hillary fundraisers. Nothing else going on there, except maybe bingo.

13. Well, votes do.
Hell, I'm in favor of punishing Florida and Michigan but if I had that many votes at stake, I'd push to seat those delegates, too. That's a whole lotta votes.

Since I favor Hillary and I favor punishment, I am horribly torn on this.

14. They should have dealt with party officials (maybe) not voters.
It's not like rank and file had a voice in the decision.

16. I guess maybe it's that little thing of....
A MILLION PEOPLE GOING OUT TO VOTE! Delegates or not, their vote should count for something. Maybe just a more accurate poll.

9. Rolling eyes
Geez man. Going up against a name who has spent 8 years in the white house against a relative newcomer. I mean its a no brainer, most people will vote for the name they know "best". Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

12. I posted that last night in reply to
a comment about voters choosing Hillary because he had not campaigned there. I said they must all be cut off from all forms of communication.

20. Well, how could they know him??
He's gotten absolutely no press coverage, hardly any endorsements. The people who have endorsed him are also totally unknown so that wouldn't make it into the news either (providing they got any news, which is doubtful). I think Lee Mercer is more well known there!

:silly:

17. No one in Florida knows who...
Oprah is either. All the stations on TV show "The Golden Girls" marathons all day, everyday.

22. So far Hillary has done best in states with no campaigning. There could be a number of reasons for
that. You obviously don't think that the name recognition factor had much to do with it.

You may well be right. Do you have a theory that does help explain it? Is it just that the voters in Michigan and Florida happen to prefer her much more than than those in the other four states that have voted or caucused, in which the candidates did campaign?
