SIX DAYS
I just posted this as a "quick post" on the John Edwards website, but not they say that the blog is temporarily down, so I don't know if it will make it. It's my first "Dear John" letter ever.

Dear John,

If the news that you’re dropping out of the race just SIX DAYS before Super Tuesday is a ploy to get the media attention you deserve, then good for you. It’s working, and the MSM has ignored you, while it continues to cover the floundering Giuliani and Huckabee campaigns.

If you’re dropping out just SIX DAYS before Super Tuesday, and it’s because of Elizabeth’s health, I understand. I nursed my mother through her nine year battle with breast cancer, which she lost in 2004.

If you are dropping out just SIX DAYS before Super Tuesday because you don’t think you’ll get enough votes to matter, I think you’re wrong. I’ve supported you from the beginning and I want to continue to support you, and there are millions of us out there just waiting to vote for you in the upcoming primaries. If you’re dropping out because you think you’re campaign is no longer viable, please reconsider. Over 90% of the voters haven’t had a chance for our voices to be heard.

If you stay in the race, for at least SIX MORE DAYS, and you don’t end up being the Democratic candidate, and the GOP (by hook or by crook) prevails in the general election, I will blame the American voters.

But if you drop out now, just SIX DAYS before Super Tuesday, and the GOP wins, I will blame you. If you drop out now and we continue our occupation and exploitation of Iraq, I will blame you. If we continue to have a minimum wage where even working full-time cannot support a single wage earner beyond a poverty level, I will blame you. The list of the ways America is messed up right now goes on, and if you drop out now, I WILL BLAME YOU.

Sincerely,

A blue gal in a red state

1. Excellent presentation. Truthful. And a very revelatory statement about

the hope we have in the other candidates. My hope (famous word) is not so great for change. Take two centrists and watch them go further to the centrist right so that they invade other's territory?

War, predatory contracts, pollution, people abusive corporations are the key to this countries success in righting serious wrongs.

Clinton and Obama are nowhere for me on corporations. Oh, I forgot, they are going after the health profit corporations? Makes their platform sound good. Let a few more soldiers die, but take care of the maimed is the best we can do?

Vote for more Patriot Acts and immunities? Never ask where all the missing billions are?

I support the logic of your presentation and I guess I put a pretty negative twist on it. Sorry.
