Hulk Hogan endorses Barack Obama (no, I'm not kidding). Filmclip in link!
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/30/obama-is-latest-to-receiv_n_84036.html

In a move that's sure to provide a boost to Obama's fortunes among time-travelling high school kids from the early 1980s, Hulk Hogan - professional wrestler and reality teevee divorcee - has backed the Illinois Senator on the the Jimmy Kimmel show. Hogan, in picking Obama, cited something about "cards" and how Obama doesn't judge people based upon "the way people dress," which makes sense, considering Hogan offered his support whilst clad in a shimmery piece of yellow Saran Wrap that looked like it was stolen off the set of Miami Vice.

Hogan's endorsement ensures that at least one Democrat will join Republicans Mike Huckabee and John McCain in having one prominent supporter whose career is based on pretend ultraviolence. Though, in Hogan's defense, we remind you that wrestling is totally fixed--just like elections in Pakistan!

4. Sweet
I like that the Hulkster endorsed a democrat. When the internet first came to my college back in the early 90s, and my friends and I discovered chat rooms, we would go into a Rush Limbaugh chat room with the names HulkHogan and MachoMan and discuss politics while staying in character until they kicked or banned us. The longest we were banned was when we said something like, "HulkHogan scoops up MachoMan and bodyslams him straight to hell so he can visit with Nixon."

7. Ric Flair is supporting Huckabee, I believe. Maybe this calls for a grudge match.
(Although Flair is by far the better wrestler, Hogan is a bigger star.)

12. The difference between Hogan and Norris and Stallone
is that Hogan would actually get injured doing what he does. So, while wrestling is scripted, the injuries professional wrestlers incur are very real.

27. This is actually very important
Not because Hulk is still a superstar, he's not. But it shows that the Republicans are losing the macho man vote, which they've had a lock on for a long time. Repukes are no longer seen as the party for tough guys. I guess 8 years of bumbling incompetence will do that.
