When he announces he will pull out. Funny how that worked eh?
He was against the odds right from the get go....not because of his message or his policies - they were arguably the most progressive of all the candidates. It was not because he was unpopular - he was very popular.
He was shut out because he would fight poverty and take on corporate rule in America. He was shut out - and the corporatists won. He could never gain enough exposure outside of the mainstream media to make a dent.
You just lost the one person who would stand up to the corporations who hold far too much influence and power. See - this is how it works....corporations make big political donations to candidates and they use that money to get elected. Those corporations expect favours after the fact. Those corporations are working for profit. That is their main goal - profit. And the truth is in the pudding - your middle class has eroded, poverty is rising, joblessness is rising, home foreclosures are at record levels, and new home starts have dropped precipitously. That was WITH corporate influence under the GOP rule. What makes any of you think that under democratic rule - it will be one iota different? The big money has gone to the democratic side of the isle because they see the writing on the wall - the GOP are finished. But they never ever ever give up power without a demand.
The corporatist rule over America is complete. No amount of progressive ideals is going to change that. In a democracy - the majority rules...so goes the theory. Candidates need to appeal to a majority of voters in order to get elected. However, if it is only the big money players that are allowed to choose who will or will not be seen in the media.....then is it really a FREE democracy, or just a facade? And then are you really voting with who you really want to vote for - or are you just enabling the facade???
