Edwards Suspended...Not....

....ended his run for the White House...listen to his announcement again.I have a feeling that if Clinton or Obama don't seriously address the issue of poverty diligently and quickly he will begin adding heat behind their A$$es.

I think Edwards is just going lay low for a while and let Hillary and Obama beat themselves up for a while.

3. He has to suspend instead of terminating it
in order to pay his workers I think. I don't think he will be back as a presidential candidate.

4. The reason that he suspended instead of ended has something to do...
with a loophole in the public financing. It was mentioned on CNN this AM as I recall.

5. You really believe that?
You think he's going to stop campaigning less than a week before Super Tuesday, but start up again at a later date? That doesn't make any sense. If he was going to do that, he'd at least wait a week. I think you're reading too much into the language.

6. Nice - I like that image. Laying low for a while waiting it out....
Perhaps he and Al Gore can brainstorm on how best to untilize the power of their endorsements. Better yet- maybe we can draft them as a team at the convention (I can dream, right?).

7. OMG, I hope you are right.
He still will be getting votes on super Tuesday from those of us who voted early before he quit.

12. I think we are owed and explanation. I called JE headquarters.
Their voice mail box is full, and the attendant is not picking up the phone.

These questions are not going to go away though.

14. Suspended campaigning....
Russ Feingold was the 'third' Democratic Senate candidate in 1992. He surged in the polls toward the end and won the Democratic nomination to take out the Republican incumbent. The two front running DEmocratic candidates imploded because of their squabbling, pickering and mud slinging. The Wisconsin electorate chose Russ....There may be a lesson here...for the JE camp
