Edwards vs Dole for US Senate?
Thats what is being tossed around here on the local news in Charlotte?

Anyone think he'll make a run. He also can make a run at Governor this yr. He has until April to get in both races

2. If anyone can knock out Liddy, it's him. And that win could possibly give us 60 senate seats. n/t

10. I'd love to get rid of Dole (and Burr).
I'm not sure how I feel. It almost seems like the ultimate insult for him to be a Senator with one of the other candidates as President. Still, it would be nice to get rid of Dole. Does anyone know Easley's plans?

20. No, I just mean scary having the two of them together.
Just the possibility that the those two could be President/VP is enough to give me the heebie jeebies.

21. How scary? What is their combined age?
Do you think for one nanosecond America would put up with a Metamucil Presidency?

14. That would be great
but I heard he's not overly popular in NC at the moment. Like I said, that's just what I've heard, and I'd like to be proven wrong.

16. He still has support here.
I still see Kerry/Edwards stickers more than any others. I've also seen Edwards '08. I have never seen Clinton or Obama but have seen lots of Ron Paul, some Romney and McCain.:puke:

I'm sure there are people that don't support him but the only ones I've personally heard of are repubs that wouldn't vote for him anyway.

Liddy Dole rode them to an attempt at the Repug nomination for Prez in 2000 ...
