The simplest test to determine which candidate cares about poverty (Edwards Agenda)
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 03:21 PM by Bleachers7
Look at their websites.

Obama has an issues page dedicated to poverty: www.barackobama.com/issues/poverty
Hillary does not: www.hillaryclinton.com

Also, Google searches:

barackobama.com google search for "poverty": 213,000 entries http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Abarackobama.com+%2B+poverty
hillaryclinton.com google search for "poverty": 419 entries http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Ahillaryclinton.com+%2B+poverty&btnG=Search

1. Poverty is not really an "issue." It is a condition to overcome with the solutions
that Hillary has discussed on her Website. The issues focus on what keeps or makes people poor.

3. How about the fact that Edwards in the debates...
repeatedly credited the fact that Obama had been talking about poverty issues and making it a central piece of his campaign. He did not say the same about Clinton.

Someone should go through all the debate transcripts and pull all the things Edwards said about each of them.

5. three words: this is stupid!
arguing about whether one democratic candidate will fight for poverty and the other won't is stupid!

we are not comparing a democrat to Bush...
