Obama conjures up image of blackness in speech to black churches.

I am sure you can find a Sen. Clinton article where she is addresses women.
My point is that blackness embodies who Obama is and womanness is embodied in Sen. Clinton and are part of their identities. And they will use these identities differently as they speak to different groups. Nothing wrong with that.

……..Later Wednesday, Obama gave a 10-minute talk by live broadcast to a joint meeting in Atlanta of four historically black Baptist denominations, where Clinton was to appear in person later. These groups produced some of the most prominent civil rights leaders, including the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.. whom Obama quoted.

"Pastors are pushing this movement forward," Obama said of his campaign, "and I need each and every one of you in this fight."

He asked the audience to imagine what it would mean for the country to see him with his hand on the Bible, taking the presidential oath of office.

"Our children will look at themselves differently and their possibilities differently. They'll look at each

1. Better than Bill Clinton being TRANSFORMED by Reagan to declare 'Era of Big Government
is Over!'

That was the day many Democrats noticed that Reagan's view of government TRANSFORMED a Democratic president and his like-minded centrist group.

12. Yeah - Obama wants to TRANSFORM Republicans to accept Democratic views
the way Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman were TRANSFORMED by Reagan's views.

3. You are correct when you say: Nothing wrong with that.
I'm just waiting for my gal to really be that out spoken regarding breaking the highest of high ceilings. Many of us women are still being paid less for the same jobs and most of us still cannot hold the highest positions in corporations. We have a long way to go yet.

That is only a very small part of why I'm for Hillary. I love her intelligence, experience (especially how she already knows leaders from around the world), her life long fight for health care for all, the blue collar workers, etc.

She is my number one choice (Edwards was second) and I would be so proud, if the US could catch up with other countries and elect a woman leader before I die. Making History!!!!! Big time!

Guess you get that she is my gal. :patriot:

It would be so much better if he acted like a regular person.
