Thoughts on tomorrow's Clinton vs. Obama debate- The clash in L.A.
I think this will be THE DEBATE of the year- Hillary Clinton vs. Barack Obama, on the same stage, one on one, just a couple of days before Super Tuesday. California is now in play, and this debate can change the dynamics of the race or simply destroy one of the two.

What can we expect? Will they keep it clean? Will they go at it for 2 hours? How will Obama perform in a one on one setting? Will this benefit him or not? Can Hillary get Obama out of the way once and for all? Are we going to see the end of a candidacy tommorow?

What are your thoughts? Any predictions? I just know I can't wait! :bounce:

4. Whatever happens, I'm going to miss it.
Due to my rehearsal in Connecticut. Which is probably for the best--hopefully no HUGH moments will happen while I'm gone.

7. I could be wrong but
I think it will be more civil than the last one. However, I can see Obama being a bit more forceful on issues like the IWR. Clinton will be just as forceful. Essentially, I'm saying I expect them to heartily debate the issue and lay off of personal attacks, no Rezko, No Wal-Mart, etc.

I cannot wait to watch it! Gobama!!

Hillary will be able to sound presidential being only qualified by Obama, and no one else.

11. I'm looking forward to seeing the expressions on their faces
when Hillary and Obama actually DO shake hands, either before or after the debate.

The snub gives Hillary some good lines: if at any point, for example, Obama promises to do something or agrees to do something, or is prompted to play "say something nice" about Hillary, she can come back with "Can we shake on that?"

..he'll beat her like a second-hand drum...and look GOOD doing it...

Hill? She'll look mean-spirited, defensive, and petty, you know, her real personality..

37. No. "charming" and "warm" are not words that immediately spring to mind...
...when her name is mentioned.

Cold, calculating, manipulative, opportunistic...now THOSE are better, more descriptive words for her...

17. Obama should
Obama should be very assertive, not angry and smile in the right places. He needs to get his policies out in sharp snappy sentences. Clinton needs to act in a presidential way and not sneer. I think she generally does well in debates.

21. I think both will win.
Clinton is very good at fast replies, regardless of whether factual or not.
She is very good at going for the jugular.

Obama will come across as reasoned, mature and a statesman.

Thus there will be people from both sides saying their candidate won.

29. echoing Michael Buffer...
A boxing ring with ring girls, journalist "judges", and Wolf Blitzer would play the role of Richard Steele, ring referee. Barack's corner would have Sens. Durbin, Dorgan, and Gov. Sebeelus. Hillary's courner would have Rep. Rangel, Sen. Bayh, and Gov. Corzine. Michellle would play the role of Adrian.

This would be must see TV!

I won't be able to watch live 'cause I just can't stand these things. Likely follow a live blog commentary, cringing if my guy screws up. Clinton will be fine.... that's a given but this ain't Obama's strong suit and it'll be the first one on one. Yeah, i'm nervous.
