My dad was a fan. He loved brass jazz.

"Hello, Dolly!" asd "Wonderful World" were big hits when I was a kid, and they really boosted Armstrong's career. Most of his back catalog was re-released, and we had about half a dozen of his records.

And Satchmo would definitely NOT have thrown in the towel ... he would have laughed, made sure the valves were working, and then lead the procession.

after seeing the turnout for Obama in Denver... It is not as bad as it may seem.

The corporatists will complete their destruction of America, finally turning us into the largest third world nation in the history of nations. Supply side economics, the New Corporate World Order, and "free" trade will rule, and the middle and working class will get exactly what they voted for. Just like the chickens got exactly what they voted for when they cast their lot for Colonel Sanders.

It does not matter who the President is, any one of them will help finalize our destruction and implement the corporatist agenda. We are screwed, and we will continue to be screwed.

After this all comes crashing down, it will be our responsibility as enlightened, thinking members of the human race, to be here to help pick up the pieces and to ensure this never happens again.
