NJ Star-Ledger: "Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to stump for Hillary in NJ"

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to stump for Hillary in NJ
by Josh Margolin/The Star-Ledger
Thursday January 31, 2008, 10:49 AM

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the environmentalist and son of the late New York senator, plans to appear at a campaign event in New Jersey Monday for Sen. Hillary Clinton.

The appearance at a private home in Passaic, confirmed by Kennedy's office and a Clinton aide, underscores a split in the storied political clan. Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts -- Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s uncle -- has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama along with Caroline Kennedy, daughter of the late president.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., meanwhile, has lent his support to Clinton along with Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, the former lieutenant governor of Maryland, and Kerry Kennedy, a human rights activist. He will appear Monday at the Lucianin family home on Pearl Street, according to Ken Lucianin Jr., a former member of the Passaic City School Board.

8. Three of Robert Kennedy's children put out a letter a couple of days ago.
Basically they said - Uncle Ted and Carolyn see Obama as carrying the torch for Jack Kennedy and these children see Hillary as carrying Bobby Kennedy's legacy.

I gotta confess that I was always a bigger fan of Robert.

11. RFK Jr. has turned out to be a disappointment
I was inspired by a speech he gave last fall concerning the excesses of corporations, and the control of government that they have in our country. Now he's gone out and started backing a candidate who is seriously corporately compromised. Now he just stinks of hypocrisy.
