Newsday.com: "NY state firefighters endorse Clinton"
This is great news for Camp Clinton. The guys who told 9iu11iani to take a hike have announced their endorsement of Hillary:

NY state firefighters endorse Clinton
2:27 PM EST, January 31, 2008

ALBANY, N.Y. - New York state's uniformed firefighters are endorsing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for president.

The New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association, which represents 25,000 members statewide, says the Democrat has fought for firefighters during her time in Washington.

Association President Charles Morello says the group considers Clinton their hero. Among other measures, Clinton co-sponsored a law that provides health monitoring for firefighters and other first responders in the event of terror attacks or natural disasters.

6. She worked her ass off to do that - with GOP-ers in power at every level
I remember the freeper proud to have booed her at the 9.11 fund raising event(bragged of it on the Free Republic).
She did indeed earn this one - and I am glad they came through for her.
They are the same people who followed Rudy in Florida

You sound sorry for that.
This is pretty big since Guiliani or another Republican might well have gotten this endorsement. Hillary's endorsements seem to come more from real working people on the front lines of idustry and service instead of bigwig insiders. Just compare the endorsements and you will see what I mean. It's for sure she can identify more with the "little guy or gal" than Obama.

21. It's not in the least bit maligning.
It's a simple fact, one she boasts about. And she should have gotten them that money, it's her responsibility. I live in lower Manhattan, btw.

31. She brought home the pork for the firefighters, she investigated the health issues.
Yes, that's exactly what her job is. What's the problem? I'm simply saying it's no surprise they endorsed her. It's expected.

29. As disappointed as Nine-Eleventy may be ...
... by having to drop out, he should also be heaving a sigh of relief that he now doesn't have to face the onslaught of the NYC first responders speaking out publicly against him, had his campaign gotten any further.

I'm sure they had a whole arsenal of stories, ready to be unleashed at the opportune moments along the way, about what a fuck-up he was.

35. True, very true!!!
Giuliani was the only candidate out of the 15 who started in the race (both parties) who I considered not fit morally to be president. I despise the creep with a passion.

12. Thank you gentlemen!!!
A well deserved endorsement after all the work that Hillary has done to ensure that there was health monitoring for all first responders.

I love this sentence:

Association President Charles Morello says the group considers Clinton their hero.

I wasn't sure they would endorse her but I'm happy. Where are you finding all these articles? And you need to save them and email them to Hillary Clinton's campaign. Looks like they need you on staff. :)

27. Surprising.
All of the dinosaurs I know from NYFD (retired)seem to loathe her.
Even after the catastrophe of 911, some of these boneheads still think Repuke is the way to go.
Sad.
