There's singing at the beginning, so bear with it. Hillary explains why she voted for the Iraq War Authorization.

6. I think the fact that she was a Senator from NY --one who saw the deaths, the
families, the aftermas---was a factor in her decision at the time. Those were her constituents. I read her floor speech.
I give her some leeway on this issue.

I was there. She didn't listen to US, did she?

18. And, of course, 9/11 had nothing to do with Iraq. Surely Clinton knew this?

23 Senators voted against the IWR. We all knew.

4. That was Hillary et als...
"It depends on what the meaning of 'is' is..." moment.

They knew what the IWR meant, and they knew what Bush was going to do with it. Ask Barbara Boxer and Russ Feingold. But Hillary et al were too fucking worried about running for President in '08 to do the right thing.

I want a leader who knows what the right thing is and isn't afraid to do it, damned the politics of it.

That leaves Ms. Thing out.

7. Did you notice how fast she pulled her hand back from the pink slip
once she realized why it was being presented to her?

This video clearly shows that she was for the invasion.

9. And she's so confident about it - she knows it's the right thing to do.
I couldn't get that out of my head after I watched this; she was so dismissive.

13. Yes, she was.

For me, personally, the Iraq war (and threatened war with Iran) is by far the most profound issue in this campaign. I DESPISE the greed and heartlessness in Americans that causes them to worry far more about their own comfort and, by comparison, petty concerns.

She was FOR the invasion. She defended both the invasion and the occupation LONG after the lies of WMD and Al Qaeda ties had been obliterated by the facts.

How can any Democrat vote, in good conscience, for THAT?

25. Exactly. It was not a vote to do war.
It was a vote to give the shrub a blank check to do war.

I think it's important to air the truth here because it gets lost sometimes in the subterfuge imposed on these boards on her behalf.

She showed epically poor judgment on Iraq and should not be rewarded for it.

on edit: K&R ;)
