If Edwards endorses someone... I might just throw my support that way, too.
Two main reasons:

- I'm starting to get worried. Maybe it's just cause of where I live, but the repubs around here are getting downright cocky.

- He knows more about what's going on behind the scenes than I do. If there's something he knows that I don't, then I'll defer to that. I trusted him enough to support him... I'll trust him enough to make a good call.

So... that's where I stand right now.

What about y'all? Anyone else live / work in a red area? Are repubs around you starting to smart off a little more?

1. If he endorses, he had better do it before both candidates rack up delegates on Feb5th
Those delegates he has, and his importance to either candidate as a result, become less important after that date.

3. Much to my dismay, Tennessee is a red state.
The right wing nuts are rampant and they love to strut around. Actually they aren't saying a whole lot since ole Fred laid an egg!

7. Hah... well the ones around here were keeping their cards close
till this week... now they're all confident.

I guess they heard some new talking points... I mean I never thought it'd be a cake walk... but I haven't been this worried up to now.

11. I'm still supporting Edwards and if he is on the ballot for my state primary I will vote for him.
In the GE, I will make my own mind up. Edwards' endorsement won't play into it. And I don't care what anyone thinks of my decision. I'm stubborn that way.

12. Maybe John wont endorse anyone - maybe we can convince him to
come back when he gets the fed money in March. After all, he only suspended, he
didnt say he quit.

10. This Edwards supporter lives in TN and voted for Obama today.. here's why:
I cannot stand the thought of Hillary Clinton getting the nomination. I had thought that even with JE getting my vote and perhaps 15%, even with a brokered convention, he would throw his support to Obama. Now, his campaign is "suspended", he has not endorsed anyone, there is no explanation available, and more and more I am hearing that he is in "talks" with Clinton and will endorse whomever offers him the best deal. That is not the JE I know and I hope it isn't true. However, I don't feel I can wait for that. Time is precious and my early voting place today was packed with Republicans. My decision was made at the last minute, but it was made from my gut which told me I simply could not chance having my vote.. in any way.. count toward Hillary Clinton's tally.

13. I won't criticize anyone's choice..
I'm so ready for this to be over... it's mindbending, all the info & disinfo... all the petty stuff that's blown so out of proportion by the media and by ourselves... *sigh*

I'm glad you've got your vote over with at least. :toast:

15. This past month has been horrible, redqueen. I cannot remember ever being so
stressed out about a primary. A General, yes, but never have I felt this torn in a primary. Thanks for understanding because, yeah, I just had to get it over with. We all have to try to stick together through this, somehow ! :hi:

18. Same here... the stress is unreal.
Maybe because we all went through 2004, and remember what a horrible experience that was.

Either way, that's the truth of it... we have to stick together. :hi:

17. Are you sure you were an Edwards supporter? didnt I see your
name for Obama before this?

Anyway - I wouldnt vote for Obama under any circumstance. I dont like his
over willingness to compromise...and as John says " Do you think those corporates
and lobbyists and insurance companies are just going to give their power away? You cant negotiate with them."

Obama the newbie or else he's really republican leaning thinks he can negotiate with them...or maybe that's just his spiel to put us at ease when he lauds republicans

26. That comment is disgusting. I've been DEFENDING Obama on this nasty board for
months against the attacks from Hillary supporters. Who are you question my support of ANY candidate? I don't know you.. you don't know me. I'm sorry you don't like Obama. I feel the same about Hillary. That's NO reason to diss me personally. But yet again, typical of someone who would support Clinton.

he says he likes Obama.

But I don't know... maybe he really is the best suited to unite the two halves of this country... maybe he really will govern left.

I'm so frickin confused.
