In argument with right-winger
Are there any examples of Kerry voting to increase military funding or to approve new weapons systems? Please provide desperately needed evidence of Kerry being pro-military. Secondly, this guy claims that Kerry has never had a single piece of his legislation passed. Is this true?

1. neither anti nor pro
Kerry was in a war so he is careful about military aggression. He didnt vote against funding for intelligence - only for a so called "slush" fund for the cia to conduct any activities it essentially wanted.
He is a wealthy man who went anyway - thought it was his duty.
Another wealthy person we know went out of his way to avoid it.
I dont there should be an argument with any bush supporter over this.

2. He says that Kerry
has always voted to cut military/defense funding and never to increase it. The argument isn't whether or not Kerry served. He thinks it's irresponsible for Kerry to be cutting defense under any circumstances.

3. It's irresponsible to let the Pentagon avoid audits.

They "lost" $1 TRILLION of taxpayer dollars. That's our money. (Well, not really ours, but "they" think it is.)

On edit: In fact, send him this link:

7. in other words...it's true..
and it will hurt Kerry politically if we don't be honest about it and clearly explain WHY the pentagon budget deserves to be reduced.
